There’s Nothing Like the Sound of Vinyl
I had just bought several records before my record player broke. Thankfully, I finally got it back from a friend who fixed it. Sure, I could’ve listened to the songs on YouTube, but there’s just nothing like hearing the cracks and crackles of a vinyl album.
Then it hit me—that’s why records bring me back to my childhood.
Back then, whenever I needed to escape something scary or overwhelming in my life, I would put on a record. The music would transport me to another world, a safer place.
I remember how it felt—like I was right there with the artist, in the studio, as they recorded the song. For just a moment, I wasn’t alone. I was somewhere else entirely, carried by the music.
